RONNIE SPECTOR 　　TO RELEASE THE LAST OF THE ROCK STARS 　　NOVEMBER 10th 2009 　　Record Includes New Christmas Classic 　　 　　New York, NY (September 29, 2009) – Ronnie Spector, the iconic leader of The Ronettes and woman whose transcendent voice and look shaped rock ‘n roll, is releasing her first domestic album in over two decades on Tuesday, November 10th. The Last of the Rock Stars (Bad Girls Sounds / RED) features guest appearances by Keith Richards, Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Patti Smith, Patrick Keeler (The Raconteurs) and Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather) and is the first Ronnie Spector album to be co-produced by Ronnie herself. 　　 　　As proclaimed by LA Weeky, Ronnie “conveys balls-out emotion with her magical, badass pipes” and her instantly recognizable voice and attitude are in full force on The Last of the Rock Stars. The album opens with the punky, neo-garage “Hey Sah Lo Ney” on which Yeah Yeah Yeah’s guitarist Nick Zinner lends his skill. Written by acclaimed songwriter Amy Rigby, “All I Want” features the guitar work of Keith Richards, who also lends his voice and musicianship to the playful duet, “Work Out Fine.” The haunting track “There Is An End,” composed by Craig Fox of the Greenhornes with Patrick Keeler of the Raconteurs and Jack Lawrence of The Dead Weather, includes a cameo by Patti Smith. 　　 　　The album also features Ronnie’s version of “It's Christmas Once Again,” produced by Johnny Gale (Robert Randolph, Ryan Shaw) – a perfect complement to the sleigh-full of Ronnie’s hits that already dominate the airwaves every holiday season: Her rock ‘n roll renditions of “Sleigh Ride,” “Frosty the Snowman” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” are three of the top played holiday songs on the radio. In addition to her annual “Christmas Party” performance at B.B.
