MEMO is a three piece Calgary band comprised of Jeebs Nabil on guitar and vocals (Geist, The Grim Beat, Nushi), Cody Coates on drums (Lions and Tigers and Bears, Kurt Vonnegut), and Paul Baker on bass (The Silent Auction, Snake Frenzy, Kurt Vonnegut). 　　 　　Suicide Forest is the group's first release; the songs are post-rock, but take a moment to dig a little deeper. The listener will hear intricate finger-tapped guitar riffs cascaded over chorded bass melodies, and bombastic rhythms. Forging a path through this sonic landscape is a voice that comes from the depths of torment, laced with optimism. 　　 　　Fans of the The Constantines, Hot Snakes, Death From Above 1979, Daft Punk, and the Afghan Wigs will get their kicks from Suicide Forest.
