Rachel Thomasin is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Boston, MA. She first picked up a guitar at age 12, and has been writing songs ever since. Her passion for music led her to explore a myriad of diverse genres from punk rock to bluegrass before honing her own unique style. 　　 　　In 2012 she released her first EP, Framed, featuring atmospheric and haunting compositions inspired by alternative rock, shoegaze and dream pop. In March 2013 she self-released her first full-length release R. Thomasin, combining layers of strong vocals, reverb-laden guitars, and synthesizers to create an experimental and infectious new sound. Her most recent output, The Gravitate EP, takes a more intimate approach to her brand of songwriting in favor of crisp vocal harmonies and open-tuned acoustic strumming.
