简介: This is the second collection of songs written and performed by Bob Campbell.
"I Met Bob when I was 17 years old. I asked him to teach me instrument repair. At this, Bob was very skilled. We also played in a baand with Clyde Fogle (former fiddler for Doc and Chickie Williams).
Robert H. (Bob) Campbell was born in Creston, NC in February 1936. Bob's father played guitar and frailing banjo. When Bob was young, at age 15, he moved to Pennsylvania and began playing guitar. A year later he wrote his first song. Bob met Del McCoury and played in a gospel band with Del and G.C. McCoury, and Melvin Cook. Bob's last band members were Sonny Criswell, John Farmer, and Dewey Renfro with Bob on guitar. Bob started Campbell's Music Service in 1964, but continued to write songs. After suffering a bad stroke and recovering extremely well, now at age 70 he is recording his songs.
I have found Bob to be a goodhearted honest man, who I have been honored to have d a friendship with all these years. I believe you will enjoy his songs, and if you play music, perhaps you can adapt these songs to fit your own style. Bob would love that."
