简介: "The Life and Times of Jesus the Christ" was originally released in 1997 on small independent record label Worthless Records. In Christmas of 1998, the song "Emmanuel" was added into rotation on Christian radio stations around the country (including the KLOVE radio network - making Ryan one of the few independent artists to ever be added into rotation on the KLOVE radio network).
In early 1998, Ryan teamed up with Gray Dot Records to release the album nationally through Diamante Distribution. Unfortunately, just prior to the album release in Spring 1998, Gray Dot Records began closing down operations. This did not prevent the album from being distributed nationally, it just meant that Gray Dot was not in position to help support the release.
Forever the DIY artist, the national radio play and distribution provided Ryan with the opportunity to begin touring around the United States performing at churches, coffee houses, camps and other music venues. Through touring and word of mouth, Ryan developed a strong grassroots following which lead to the 2000 release of his followup album "Here".
Whether you're already familiar with Ryan's music, familiar with his work as part of the successful banjo & mandolin driven modern rock band Tractor Pull Divas or just discovering his music now, we're thrilled to be able to re-release "The Life and Times of Jesus the Christ" and hope you enjoy it.
