简介: Breezy vocals and spright keys mingle with playful acoustics for a very calming and assured pop sound that reminds me nicely of Belle & Sebastian.
- Obscure Sound, New York
Compelling, relatable lyrics, clean production, solid vocals...certainly an enjoyable listen.
- Mike Savage, Los Angeles
The perfect contradiction, the moody lyrics married with the backdrop of pretty upbeat guitars and melody...I wouldn't be surprised if I heard this in a montage half-way through a film or providing the score on the end credits. It deserves good recognition...
- Souterrain Live, London
Sophia Rossman: Bayerischer Rundfunk, Munich

Jordan has moved us with his wonderful acoustic sound, and his silky smooth vocals.
Seeing this big, damn funny man on stage you just can't believe the emotional depth in his lyrics, and the sounds coming out of this guy. His new EP convinces [the listener] with its authenticity. Nothing here is constructed. This is real, and it's coming from deep down. We want more of it, Jordan.
Eric McLellan: Warner Bros/Sire Records
The song came on and the vocal immediately hooked me in. Where it currently sits, it's super mellow. I like it…[“Parade”] has a nice vibe. Very chill and relaxing…There was a cinematic quality to the song and it felt like we were on a journey.
Leks Maltby: Aside/Beside
...No smoke or mirrors, and no unnecessary instrumentation either, just solid songwriting from start to finish.
Jason Grishkoff: Indie Shuffle
Gosh, it's not every day that a simple folk song grabs my attention, so props to Jordan Prince. His new single "Parade" melts perfect vocals with slick guitar lines, all-the-while keeping things sweet and enjoyable. The dude clearly has some experience, with three full-length LPs under his belt. That said, this is the first time he's popped up my radar, and I'm quite happy about that. This song comes as part of an EP called Parade, recorded in the German Alps. The country has clearly had a strong influence on him, as he's now located in Munich (a far way from his hometown, New Orleans).
The Modern Folk
The Parade is the latest EP from German-based, New-Orleans-grown Singer/Songwriter Jordan Prince. It features lyrically dense tunes delivered in Jordan's high, delicate voice. The production is simple and has an organic feel, built up with guitar, banjo and some harmonies, with tight rhythms and few embellishments. Arrangements like these allow the insightful and touching songs to speak for themselves.
Jesse Lacy: The Friday Feature
The Parade EP is a fresh take on Indie/Country/Folk songwriting. Containing an air of youthful curiosity, picturesque nostalgia, and poetic darkness, Jordan's lyrics and melodies help shift the mindset of what the Country genre can be. The old standard sound of guitar and banjo are accompanied by a finely tuned sense of awareness seldom found in today's Indie music. The songs are comfortable, but carry a purpose not to be taken for granted.
