Dave Rennick, founding member and co-frontman of Dappled Cities, launches his jam band project, And, with a new song, called U Know Me, with fellow Dappled members Ned Cooke and Allan Kumpulainen. 　　 　　After being at the helm of 5 albums with Dappled Cities, 30yo Rennick began branching out to work on solo material early 2014. In May he released the post-disco inspired debut single, Boys, and the wheels were set in motion 　　 　　Now comes the followup single, U Know Me - an energetic nod to early 80’s jam, groove and disco, with it the launch of a new moniker and institution, And. 　　 　　U Know Me features Sydney artist, Donny Benét, with his uncompromising *touch; that is, a face-melting Moog solo. Renowned producer John Castle (The Bamboos, Vance Joy) also features on drums and additional engineering. 　　 　　Andy Cleland (Bones Bones Bones, Winston Surfshirt) slammed out the bass guitar in one take having never heard the song before, while smoking a dart. And fellow Dappled Cities alumni and co-writers Ned ‘Peg’ Cooke and Allan Kumpulainen complete the jam.
