Born into a musical family, Bobby Calvin Bowers, Jr., also known as BJ, is in a league all of his own. He's the grandson of fame blues singer, Nappy Brown who wrote Ray Charles "night time is the right time”. BJs music presents a message geared toward helping and uplifting his audiences as we all make our way through our lives, our loves and our emotions. BJ aka “MIB (the Music Industry Burglar)" is always recording. His music embodies the term, “R&B Street” because his music is rooted in his upbringing in the “streets" of Newberry, South Carolina. Each song touches on real life situations and experiences to evoke a natural response of understanding and familiarity with his audiences.
