A bodega is a store, or a corner grocery. My corner grocer growing up was named Joe. "Joe store" we all called it. I loved the privilege and honor it was to be asked to go to Joe store to buy Penny candy along with whatever Mom or Dad wanted us to get. 　　Creating this music helped me through a rough time in my life.
