I find great value in music of the ages from Baroque through Modern compositions. Each era and 　　regional influences had their contributions to the musical culture of the time, and performances 　　of these great works of legacy are best done with this in mind. Although Mendelssohn was 　　considered an artistic "conservative" by his contemporaries., his music has a distinctive 　　flair all its own. His penchant and talent for melody and arrangements. along with his tendencies 　　towards pictorial subjects (very common at the time), places him in the top realm of the 　　nineteenth century great Romantic composers.
