简介: Sofi Bonde is from Göteborg, Sweden. While on a visit to NYC in 2003, Sofi met guitarist/producer Eric J (Freeform Five, Essex) at a fashion show where he had just finished playing. Within a couple of days they had written their first song. Sofi had already recorded a pop album as a teenager with other people calling the shots; this time she wanted to record her own songs, her own way. So, along with Eric J, and engineer/co-producer Eric Tew (Super Furry Animals, Sheryl Crow, Cheap Trick) Sofi built a studio in a basement on West Broadway in NYC, and got to work. The result is "Fighting Gravity." Additional collaboraters include: Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright), Kevin March (Guided By Voices, Shudder To Think), Itaal Shur (Maxwell, Santana), Rick Beato (Shinedown) and Timo Ellis (Cibo Matto, Sean Lennon). Sofi and Eric are now in Los Angeles preparing to release the album in the U.S. The first single, "Thing For You" is set to arrive in the coming weeks; Bon Magazine says "It should be a radio hit anywhere in the world."
