It was the first Father's day that I had to be away at work, and the radio was playing all kinds of fathers' songs by Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, etc., when it occurred to me that I had never written a song for my son, Jeremy. So this is the result. 　　 　　I recorded it, with my friend Paco Garcia on guitar, and put it on the MP3 player my wife and I gave my son for Christmas that year. 　　 　　Thanks for listening. Started a band in high school with a couple of friends, we eventually called ourselves The Shells. We wrote a bunch of songs together and three of us--Geoff Gordon, Dave Montemurri and myself--stayed together through college but never did a lot on the music scene other than write the music for a children's video. The songs remain in my mind and someday maybe I'll be able to afford to record them.
