简介: Q. How did you get started with your music?
I was captivated by hip hop music at an early age and began to create my own in 1992 out in Seattle (Sea-Town). I always would flow with my folks at the park and at school. People always told me I should try recording something. So I did. I started making demo tapes filled with tracks to circulate through the high schools. Back then, it was all for fun. We just wanted to ride around bumping our own music. Over time I’ve met more and more people involved with music. By receiving so much love over the years it inspired me to produce more music to be heard by the masses. And to get signed.
Q. What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on two projects. My solo project titled “Game Mentality Episode I” (which is done and doing well), and my group project with MSP titled “MSP Presents Gemini, TL and Enutt Volume One”.
Q. Why is it that you are receiving so much love, even though there are other artists out there with the name Gemini?
Why? My music. It speaks for itself. People know who’s out there and they know there is another artist and many other artists named Gemini. They love my music though. And no matter what, it always comes down to the music. If it’s hot or not. And from feedback received from many coast to coast, I’m hot. Those other Gemini’s can keep doing what they do. I’ll do the same. May the best man win. Again much love for everyone’s support.
Q. What kind of music do you listen to and how does it influence your music?
I listen to all music. Hip hop, R&B, alternative, rock, jazz, it doesn’t matter. If it’s tight then it’s tight. Listening to all forms of music over the years has molded my style to fit all listeners from West to East. That’s one main reason why I’m so accepted by many in this game.
Q. What's your opinion on mainstream music today? What do you like or not like?
Well, I’m no hater. But I feel the music game is really one sided right now. When listening to the radio the subject matter with every track is all the same. There’s only one formula used to be heard or played on the radio. Which is someone singing on the hook lol. But that’s the game. Like I said I’m no hater. If the track is tight then it’s tight.
Even though the subject matter is really the same with all mainstream tracks, lyrical content is still a must. Some mainstream artists out there have tight tracks, but think they can just say anything. I really don’t care for that. And we ALL know who these artists are. But, get your money ya dig.
Q. Who do you admire?
I admire my parents. No matter what I’m trying to do in life, positive that is, they always support me and hope for the best. They laced me with plenty of game. And of course I love my big sis. WHAT UP TIA-LOC!
Q. Why would people want to listen to your music over someone else's?
My music is for everyone. I continue to create a diverse array of music that people can bounce to in the club and ride to in the streets. I’m not one to boast, but I’m tight LOL. Many listeners have confirmed that. Many meaning the 10,000 plus plays I receive on myspace. Along with all the love and support shown to me during, and after shows. My music is real, something you can feel. Plus, I’m Tight LOL.
Q. Who have you worked with and how have they affected your work?
Although I have opened up for many major artists with my group, MSP, I have yet to work with any of them off stage. Major artist includes, Ying Yang Twins, MIMS, Naughty By Nature, Rhyme Fest, Chino XL, and the Alcoholics to name a few. Just being on stage with these artists motivates me to get in the lab and get to work!
Q. What suggestions do you have for other artists in the music industry?
My advice is to stay focused and keep recording non stop. There’s always someone out there looking to push a little hard than you everyday. And on another note. As soon as I drop it’s going to be a wrap! So get what you can now ya dig!
Q. Any additional information you would like us to know?
I'm featured in the latest issue of DUB Magazine!!! I also have a ringtone out with the hit videogame "Saints Row 2" out on Xbox 360 and Playstation!!! Get it, it's FREE!!!
