In 1985 veteran songwriter Jerry Buckner (Pac Man Fever, On and On) was so moved by pictures of friends and family visiting the Vietnam Veterans Wall Memorial that he composed a story-song about a visitor to the Wall who encounters a fictious soldier who has also come to the Wall somewhat confused looking for his old friends. When he finds them he is at peace with himself and walks silently away. It is then that the visitor discovers the name of the soldier on the Wall. 　　At that time Jerry and business partner Arnie Geller approached Bertie Higgins (Key Largo) about recording the song. Bertie liked the it and agreed to record it immediately. The song was originally released on the Artist/CBS Associated Record Label. This marks the first time it has been made available for purchase since 1985. A video of Bertie performing the song will be available on YouTube soon.
