Wired For Sound
This two-disc set combines edgy hard drivin’ Arena Rock with touching power/acoustic ballads and gritty soulful blues. All original well-crafted songs with memorable vocal melodies backed up with excellent instrumental virtuosity.
This is Guitar Rock at its best infused with just the right amount of variety to provide something for everyone whether you want to rock-it, mellow out or in between boogie. The sound is classic yet modern with just the right amount of personality to provide a signature character all it’s own.
The foundation of Rock is searing rhythm and scorching Lead Guitar and that is certainly the case here. Power chords abound with melodic, sweeping and fast lead solos and riffs.
The backbone of Bass Guitar and Drums maintain that drive with a slightly boomy bass guitar keeping it rooted with just the right amount of depth and excellent drum work keeps that foot stompin’ beat with great fills and cymbal action.
The standout vocals spring from deep down within and are filled with emotion that you can feel. The two and three part vocal harmonies fuse with the lead vocals to punch through and form the heart and soul of the tune.
This music captures on record the enthusiasm, feeling and spirit of the Artist toward his music and the desire to connect with the audience to feel that same burning passion. That sensation of being at a once in a lifetime concert where the band is pouring out everything they have and the fans are reacting. They’re singing, fists in the air and moving with the beat, reinforcing the band and the desire from each to give more, all swept up in a special moment in time. After three encores it’s not enough, they want more.
Enjoy!
I started playing the typical school band instruments and learning music at an early age like many kids. I enjoyed the sounds of many instruments and played several while playing and taking traditional piano lessons.
At the age of eleven I received my first acoustic guitar and fell in love with the sound and feel of that instrument. I took lessons, practiced and played at every opportunity. I emulated many guitar greats and slowly developed my own style and techniques.
I began listening to early classic rock and of course had to have an electric guitar and amplifier to play this music. I went electric and kept practicing, playing, imitating and developing.
I started my first band we named the Strawberry Jam and played local schools and parties. We played the songs of The Who, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix and others. We weren’t very good but we had fun and learned a lot.
My best friend’s older brother played guitar and sang in a band. I would hang out with them when I could and watched them practice and play in their basement. I picked up a lot watching and listening to them and jammed with them when they gave me the opportunity. I eagerly jumped into a rhythm guitar/background vocal spot and had a blast playing some larger venues. We entered and won the local “Battle of the Bands” competition playing some original and cover songs. This group became the local favorite “TAS” and played numerous local venues. The band broke up and some years went by but I kept playing and writing music.
I spent a couple years writing and recording my own songs and refining my sound. I learned my way around the studio recording, mixing and mastering. I became adept at song writing while constantly refining my vocal and instrumental capabilities.
I wrote about fifty songs and recorded thirty four for my two disc solo debut “Wired for sound”. It consists of my best songs in the style of my favorite music, artists and bands.
Kick back, turn it up and I hope you enjoy this music!
Thanks
