简介: Silver Bell is the solo debut of Swedish keyboardist/singer/composer Emil Carlsson Rinstad.
His merits include tours on four continents with Kristoffer and the Harbour Heads (Kristoffer Ragnstam), Loney Dear, Maia Hirasawa, and Markandeya Collective (Marcus Berg from Kultiration).
Honest childhood depictions, improvisation, indie collages and New wave rock outbursts blends with dark mysticism, exuberant naïvism and faltering geek disco.
Plenty of gravity and play, merged together by a personal voice and an unmistakable piano-driven melancholy.
Lyrics (excerpts):
This place is full of empty shells, making no sound and looking hard, wake me up with silver bells, to a dawn of light and art
• • •
I made you all believe that I was on top of my game, sure I fooled everyone while they were fooling me, I went around the world to cover up my tracks, it took a lot of gas to find my way back home
• • •
I think of factories and employees, working on their knees for companies, that are leaving town, once their stock is heading down, they tell their tragic news and then head back to shine their masters’ shoes
• • •
Acting like a champ, but feeling like a sand bag, I hit the streets in sunshades and rain coat, all pumped up on Great Blondino paperbacks
• • •
One day came the golden day when he started talking back, when the voice inside his head repeated that old track of black attack
• • •
Micro dinners was John’s most reliable friend, the ones he met on internet always let him down
• • •
There’s no point in hiding from the rain if you want to get anything done, but don’t get caught in the sugarcoated glue that
they’re pouring over you
• • •
Colors fading pale, families are frail, old charades, smiles to hide that we’re afraid
• • •
Everybody’s doing great, everybody gets a break, you say what’s the point to make, something that sounds like a fake
