简介: Black-Ace (Stacey Harrison) is a up and coming solo rap artist. Black-Ace has lived all his life in Cincinnati, growing up listening to gospel, jazz, and the blues with his parents. Black-Ace and his siblings were more influence by gospel, as church was the foundation in his family. Although he does not add gospel into his work he is aware of a higher power. His musical tastes, are R&B, Funk and Rock, Jazz, house music, just to name a few. His influences throughout his life have been The Medicine Men Featuring Lance Boyd, Brad Jordan, Lesane Parish Crooks, Christopher Wallace, and Anita Baker, Frank Sinatra, Sammie Davis Jr., to name quite a few. He began writing in 1989, and free-styling (not one of his favorite things to do) with friends in the neighborhood. Black-Ace never got the chance to perform on stage, reason being: a father and Korean vet who kept him focused on reality. That reality was: working for a living, and going to school and staying out of jail. So he kept his raw talent and push it back as a hobby. In 2004, Black-Ace chose to do what many men feared or just couldn’t or didn’t want to do, he joined the Service. He served his country for 3 years and still today serves his country as Army civilian. When he left the service in 2007 he was determined to continue writing and composing music on his own. Now what was a hobby is now a passion to be heard and accepted in this new age music industry. BLACK-ACE has been featured on 96.1 The Beat -Colorado Springs Local artist station. Which plays various artists every Sunday at 7:30pm.( http://www.beatcolorado.com/pages/localbeat.html)
