简介: ABOUT NADEAH
"If I was as iconic (and as close to being geriatric) as Madonna, I would not need a biography."
"If I was as young as Lorde's publicist says she is and if I had killer pop tunes and an R'n'B voice you would have heard of me by now"
If i was as outspoken as Peaches and sung about sucking on titties and stuff like that, you would definitely not need to read this.
But I am not..... so here it is."
Who is she?
Name- Nadeah Miranda aka Nadeah
What does she do?
Sings, Writes songs. Plays instruments.
HISTORY
Nadeah Miranda is best known as the singer in French Touch group Nouvelle Vague. She toured with them throughout the world for three years, during which time she played Glastonbury and Sziget Festivals as well as fronting the group when they headlined and the prestigeous Royal Albert Hall. Recorded tracks by her include the Police's 'So Lonely' and Magazine's ‘Parade'.
Prior to joining Nouvelle Vague, Nadeah was lead singer/songwriter in Brighton based independent alternative rock band The loveGods.
Formed after she met co-founder Art Menuteau while busking in the streets of Paris, the couple moved to the UK where they independently built a devoted fanbase, played Glastonbury 3 times, toured with the Fun Lovin' Criminals and played support slots to Nick Cave, Tim Booth (James) Franz Ferdinand and The Streets.
They won Radio One's best unsigned band 2004 and released one Ep "GIve Me A New God Cause This One Is Broken" and two albums 'Between Dogs and Wolves' and 'Audience Of One' before disbanding in 2006.
Relocating to Paris, Nadeah recorded "Venus Gets Even" with Italian Grammy nominated producer Nicola Tescari.
It was released in September 2011 and was toured extensively throughout Europe, Britain, Brazil, North Africa and Australia for the next 30 + months and supported artists such as Tame Impala, The Do, Charlie Winston and Yodelice.
September 2013 saw the end of the never-ending Venus Gets Even tour, at which point Nadeah got to working on her second solo album 'While the Heart Beats...'
Produced by English producer Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Bat for Lashes, Anna Calvi) and French Touch founder Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) it is a departure from the 1930's musically styled album and flirts with an electro-rock vibe which is reminiscent of her earlier musical endeavours and stage presence which is notoriously edgy and "punk”.
“While the Heart Beats…” will be released in spring 2015.
