简介: Playa Made Records Presents KG
KG was born on July 17th 1982 in Fort Collins, Colorado. He began his musical career early. KG began freestyle rapping at the age of fifteen at house parties. At first it was just a fun hobby to display in the school yards or at house parties, but as his talent developed, so did his drive to really make an impact on the music industry.
By the age of 16 KG was ready to start recording a series of songs he had written by himself. He then hooked up with local producers and began recording demos to pass out to friends and family. Upon hearing the feedback from listeners, KG decided to take things to the next level.
At the age of 20 he started his own independent record label which he called Playa Made Records. Soon after, KG began working on his debut solo album with local producer Roxmooth. This album featured tracks with hip-hop legends such as Spice 1 and Rappin’4-Tay. KG also became the first rap artist in Colorado to experiment with screw music, a style made popular by the late DJ Screw. KG’s self titled album was released in October of 2003. It was a local sensation and in constant rotation at local night clubs, giving It the momentum to sell thousands of copies.
KG began doing shows at a wide array of local venues in Fort Collins and surrounding cities such as Loveland, Greeley and Denver, following the release of his album. The response was so great that he decided it was time to get back in the studio and began work on his next album in early 2004. KG also began to take up producing as work on his second album began.
Currently KG is wrapping up production on his second album, featuring songs with Bizzy Bone (Bone Thugs-N-Harmony) and Spice 1, while still pushing his first release in the streets. KG’s second album is expected to be released in 2007 and is sure to be even more impressive then the first.
