简介: Graham Jackson has a lot of life and experience behind him, in several fields. Born in Toronto, he took degrees in piano and in school music, then still studied composition. He trained and taught e.g. art and gym in Waldorf Schools overseas for 7 years. Married and back in Toronto, he taught piano at the Royal Conservatory and keyboard harmony at the University of Toronto for 5 years. Then followed 14 years of living and working with mentally challenged people in USA and South Africa. Returning to Toronto in 1983, he has taught spiritual studies at the Rudolf Steiner Centre, while teaching piano at the Toronto Waldorf School and playing piano for eurythmy classes. Throughout all those years, he has continued playing recitals, sometimes semi-professional, and has been writing a book, "The Spiritual Basis of Musical Harmony", now published, and available through his website: www.grahamsmusic.com. More recently, he put out his first CD, "Transparencies, relaxing, meditative piano improvisations" which was not widely distributed, but those who had it really, really liked it. Now at last he has made a new one, called of course "Transparencies Too", which is seeking a wider audience. His fans span a wide range, from young folk-rock musicians to chiropractors and yoga teachers. Alternative therapists love it for waiting rooms or even during treatments, because it really does relax people. They also say it is "true music", "food for the soul". Check out his website for more testimonials or to hear samples: www.grahamsmusic.com.
