Riaan Nieuwenhuis is a talented composer and multi-instrumentalist from South Africa. His music spans the genres of Indie Blues, Indie Rock to New Age and Classical. Riaan has a special talent for creating melody lines and sensual rhythms that compliment mood and motion . His music ranges from spacious, ethereal and melodic piano compositions, to adrenalin-pumping, power-driven rock instrumentals. Riaan's silky lounge grooves and delicate repetition adds romantic flavour. 　　 　　Showing promising creative talent on the piano at the age of six, Riaan Nieuwenhuis went through classical training, as well as blues training on both guitar and piano followed by a drumming course at Jazz Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. Later Riaan travelled the world, exchanging musical ideas and interacting with foreign musicians. Fusing his own ideas with these influences, he has created a catalog of dynamic and delicate world compositions while maintaining his originality. 　　 　　MEDIATOR ALBUM : CD 1 ( tracks1-12 ) consists of original, warm, contemplative, piano instrumentals. Twelve classical-contemporary tracks, also reflect the composer's blues influences. The melodies are delicate, minimalistic, spacious, and at times nostalgic yet epic. 　　 　　There is a distant, mysterious feel about these tracks. In essence it is relaxing, flowing and unique in it's originality. 　　 　　MEDIATOR ALBUM :CD 2 ( tracks 13-23 ) consits of eleven original, powerful, more pulsing lounge instrumentals varying in genre and instruments. These energetic crossover-lounge/indie compsitions reflects elements of funk, jazz, blues, latin, and classical. 　　 　　With the piano as foundation from a writing point of view, other instruments on CD 2 include drumms, bass, electric and accoustic guitars, sax, accordian, strings and harmonica. 　　 　　These compositions celebrate the role of the piano as MEDIATOR between genres, musical influences and various instruments. 　　 　　 　　 Further more....
