Given that it's just an acoustic guitar and his voice, you'll be knocked out by its strength and depth. 　　Singer/songwriters live and die by their lyrics and Alexander is bang on the money with City Streets. Choice lyrics include "used to be a friend of mine/but now I'm not so well connected." It's filled by his brooding presence, a testosterone laden riposte to the delicate oestrogen folk, singer/songwriters that seem to dominate the scene at the moment. That's not to say this is bloke folk, football, beer and motors, far from it. In terms of the lyric and poetry, the performance and the soul, it's all there in abundance.
