简介: 17 year-old LYDIA PATRITTO, from Hurley, WI, has taken the music world by storm with her very first release, GRAND DREAMS, released on September 1, 2007. With a country/pop and alternative edge, GRAND DREAMS shouts originality. This multi-faceted recording was done by independent recording company, In the Chips Production, during the summer of '07. From living room performances to the live stage at the legendary Bitter End of Greenwich Village in New York City, Lydia has always been driven by music. At the age of 6 she begged for piano lessons, which she began with Kristin Kolesar, and from then on she has just added to her repertoire. Piano/keys, which is evident on her solo debut album, is her favorite, but she also plays saxophone, accordion, and dabbles in mandolin and guitar. In the 6th grade Sandra Genisot stepped in to become her piano instructor and eventually, her voice coach. According to Lydia, Sandra has been her sounding board throughout the writing process of all of her songs. In the spring of '07, Lydia's mom, Natalie, sent the very first recorded song, HEARTBREAKS, to Larry Oakes of the Bitter End to be submitted as an audition. She was later informed that Lydia had passed the audition phase and was invited to perform at the Singer/Songwriter Session at the Bitter End on July 15, 2007, the very same stage which has been graced by Billy Joel, Norah Jones, and hundreds of other successful musicians. Lydia performed five of her originals and was invited to return to perform again. She will return soon to showcase her new material. Being inspired by her Bitter End experience, Lydia returned from NYC and wrote 3 more songs: OUT THAT DOOR, THE PERFECT LOVE SONG, AND STAY AWAY FROM MY MAN. She went to St. Paul to audition for the Minnesota State Fair performing THE PERFECT LOVE SONG after having written it two days prior. She won a spot in the semifinals and performed once again at the bandshell during the fair on Friday August 24. Recording of GRAND DREAMS was completed on August 14, after the decision was made to add a bonus track. The cover song CRAZY, written by Willie Nelson and performed by many, was recorded with very talented Dave Morehouse on acoustic guitar and Lydia on keys/synthesizer. Grand Dreams has such a variety of sounds, from a 50's to the edgy "today" sound, that all music fans will be sure to find a new "favorite" song to add to their iTunes libraries. As Of October of 2007, Lydia has teamed up with singer/songwriter/producer, Mark Huhta in Nashville, to further her musical endeavors. She has recorded two of Huhta's songs, "More" and "I Just Came for Coffee" and will be returning to Nashville to record one of her new originals and one that was co-written by Lydia and Huhta.
