The Imperials were rapidly gaining audience recognition as their association with Elvis Presley and country artist Jimmy Dean took hold. Many new fans to this group were added during this period that culminated in their Grammy Award nominations and ultimately the Grammy Award in 1975. Their sound is unique, smooth and polished. It reminds me a lot of a bit of the Carpenters, the Association, the Beach Boys; more group singing and harmonies.
