SID Metal founders MACHINAE SUPREMACY formed in 2000 in the north of Sweden. From humble beginnings, making songs and just placing them online for friends to download, it soon became apparent that thousands upon thousands of people were downloading these tracks. Two german fans offered to create a website for the band and as MACHINAE SUPREMACY continued to produce songs, word of this totally unique band spread through the internet to all corners of the world. 　　 　　Before long the MACHINAE SUPREMACY website had an average of 100 000 song downloads every month — roughly 650 gigabytes of raw data flowing from its fan-hosted server. They were discovered by Universal Music metal label Spinefarm Records in 2006. 　　 　　Since then, MACHINAE SUPREMACY has performed with the Swedish Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, toured Europe with Children of Bodom, and produced a large catalog of music and video content (much of which is available for free download on the MACHINAE SUPREMACY website). 　　 　　MACHINAE SUPREMACY’s unique blend of metal, soundtrack and retro-style video game music has made them one of the biggest underground bands in the world.
