Imagine a starry calm tropical night. The romantic couple just finished the greatest day of their lives. First they boated to the island, they fished, they laid in the sun, they dove for lobster and actually caught a few. The lobster was prepared on a grill on the back of their boat. They enjoyed the lobster. They enjoyed the wine. They enjoyed each other. Then they dinghied to the Tiki Bar, having a nightcap or three while listening to a mellow Caribbean jazz band. They are falling back in love with each other and in love with the island. They dream about staying. Let's just not forget to show appreciation for the people that make it that way. 　　 　　LOST IN THE TROPICS - I had a crazy idea about buying a bar in the Dominican Republic, so Janice and I hopped on a plane and flew to the D.R. with out any plains or any idea of exactly where this bar was or how big this island is. I rented a car, got three flat tires and got lost in Santa Domingo. After walking on the most crowded beach I ever saw and being hassled by beggars and not hearing any English words for days all of a sudden I heard Jimmy Buffett’s Last Mango In Paris coming from a dirty, dark, dive bar across from the beach. When I walked in I meet a lot expats with great stories . . .PLEASENT MEMORIES - Social media has its pluses and minuses. One of the pluses is how easy it is to find people from our past. I was recently asked to be a "friend" to one of my Ex girl friends. Little does she know, although we haven’t spoken for some thirty years I never forgot her. 　　 　　THERE'S NOT ENOUGH WATER - I do a lot of song writing in the shower. One morning after a night of heavy drinking, I awoke and needed a drink of water, I got in the shower and need more water, I said to myself "There's Not Enough Water". Then I thought that’s how I feel when I'm out on my boat and everyone (but me) wants to come back. I thought that might make a good song as I ran out of hot water. 　　 　　SAIL AWAY - This song was written while I was drinking at my favorite local tiki bar "Poo's" in the rain. I was waiting for a very cute bartender to get done with work, and to go on a very wet boat ride. 　　 　　SHARK BITE - I had this bass guitar lick in my head for years. I was always trying to write lyrics for it but it never came out right, so why not make it an instrumental. 　　 　　All songs were written by Louie Liguori.
