简介: Marlo Bloxson, a.k.a. L.O.D. or Lo, started his music career as a child and never looked back.
Lo, recipient of the "Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition" placed in the top 10 in the "2001 John Lennon Songwriting Contest" and has worked in studios around the country studying styles from different regions, and adding them to his arsenal.
Even though some have compared his rap style to those of more popular artists such as 50-Cent, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill and Missy Elliot , he has still been able to distinguish himself through his lyrical content.
The depth of his versatility is so vast, that to assume that he can only rap would be a large understatement.
Lo actually made his debut as a singer when he opened for James Brown, but since then he has focused primarily on establishing himself as a rap artist.
Lo has opened shows for artists such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmoney,Avant and Lil Flip, as well as headlining for other shows in the Cleveland area.
Lo also spends a considerable amount of time writing for local artists as well as performing an occasional cameo on other projects.
As time passes, Lo's hunger, drive, and expectations all increase which, keeps him humble and thirsty for success.
When asked what he is trying to get out of this rap game, L.O.D., responded with a quote from Dough a song off of his first solo album The Foundation: "I want it all, cash, chicks, and Jaguars." Lo's ultimate goal is to impact the music world with not only his lyrical content, but his artistic style as well.
Now that he has already completed his sophomore album, Strenuous, Lo says that he is one album closer to achieving his goal.
Through many years of hard work and dedication, Lo has developed discipline, professionalism, and a true since of improvisation and musical creativity.
Without a doubt, his writing ability, style versatility and overall love of music will ultimately lead him to a career filled with enjoyment and success.
