简介: The Band M.A.D. (Maniacal Area Damage):
M.A.D. (Maniacal Area Damage) – that is Hardrock at it’s finest that goes directly under your skin and makes you shout for more. “Pure entertainment, cool outfits, congenial musicians and permanent contact with the audience” 1) make their concerts an unforgettable experience. “Guitar sounds sharp like a knife edge” 2) and rough, hard leadvocals “that bear comparison with the former AC/DC frontman Bon Scott” 3) give their songs a “clear handwriting” 4). “It can’t be overseen, that M.A.D. is creating an own unmistakable style” 4) wrote the newspaper Donaukurier.
At the “Aqua-Turbo-Bandcontest”, one of the biggest contests in South-Germany, the band won the first place in the category “best regional band” and the second place as “most popular band” at the same time and at the mega event “Rock For Asia” they had the honor to perform and stand on stage with stars like Bonnie Tyler, Doro Pesch, “Edguy”, “Saxon” and “Bonfire”.
More and more M.A.D. gets offers to appear as support act for national and international stars like “Lake” in the last year, the German “Star Search” winner “ELLI” or for “Bonfire” at a concert of their latest tour. Meantime the band has become one of the most popular ones in the music scene in the region of Ingolstadt. This is not only proved by the lots of good press articles, but even by the fact that the formation had several interviews at the local radio and TV-stations “Radio Galaxy” and “IN-TV”.
For their first publication of their song “Life Ain’t Fair” on one of Europes leading newcomer compilations “Hitpack Fresh Vol.7”, they had been chosen out of nearly 400 applicants from all over Europe. The release of the compilation was accompanied by an internet-voting with that the Band won the vice-titel of the “Newcomer Award Summer 2006”! Moreover a Video with two songs of them was published on the DVD “Club Gig” that comes with the Magazine “Soundcheck” in the edition of April 2006!
With the release of their first album (M.A.D.) in March 2007 they’re showing that they have the power to convince not only on stage. Quite in the style of the 80’s the sound of their first album is a combination between AC/DC, ZZ-Top and Dio, which is mainly caused by the voice of their lead-singer Jochen S. Bach and the masterly guitar play of Robert Mayer. Between times memories of Accept, Mötley Crüe, Guns ‘n Roses or Metallica are coming up and that’s no surprise because the members of M.A.D. are logically influenced by their idols.
The Songs of the album are well arranged and next to colourful refrains and verses there are several surprises waiting for the listener. All in all good and solid hard-rock, that will satisfy the rock- and
hard-rock-fans as well as the connoisseur of music.
