简介: The second album from Lewis Brothers, Folk & Camp Fire Songs, is a collection of just that. Stripped of amplifiers, this one focuses on acoustic arrangements. The songs run the gamut of silly and zany to somber and heartfelt. Listeners might recognize a few of the tunes from their childhood (Ten in the Bed, It's a Lie), or from the radio in the early 1960s (Poison Ivy - made popular by the Rolling Stones; MTA - popularized by the Kingston Trio). Although several of the songs are old traditional standards, Lewis Brothers gave them their own stylistic stamp (Erie Canal; Lily the Pink). They even covered a much-beloved more modern song (The Outdoor Type, by the Lemonheads). The result is a love letter to the songs of youth, done in a way only Lewis Brothers would do. The recording is honest and heartfelt; they made a CD of songs that can be enjoyed by folks of nearly any age - from little kids in age to little kids at heart.
