Jim Croce's Greatest Love Songs 　　One of the biggest tragedies in the history of popular music remains the 1973 death of Jim Croce. An airplane crash robbed this incredibly talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist of a promising career that had just started to blossom after many years of struggle. One of his best-known songs charted right after his passing, "Time in a Bottle" (penned for his son A.J., who had just been born), which serves as the centerpiece for the posthumous 1977 collection TIME IN A BOTTLE: JIM CROCE'S GREATEST LOVE SONGS. Although Croce wasn't strictly a love-song composer per se (some of his best songs had nothing to do with the subject - "Bad Bad Leroy Brown," "New York's Not My Home," etc.), he definitely authored several certifiable classics that could be categorized as love songs, most of which are compiled here.
