Released on January 20, 1986 “Sanctify Yourself” was the second single from Scottish band Simple Minds seventh studio album Once Upon A Time. Released in the wake of their biggest hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” (1985), the band were able to ride the wave of success for some time. “Sanctify Yourself” reached #10 in the UK singles chart and #14 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
