简介: 这个在德国柏林现场演唱会专辑! Every time I listen to this cd, which is often, I get a serious case of envy of everyone at this Berlin concert--all 130,000 to 170,000 people. Wow. Another "must have" BJH album. Had I been there, I would have been dancing and singing along the whole time. The fabulous concert energy is preserved on the cd. It's clear the crowd was energizing the band who was in turn energizing the crowd. "Glastnost" highlights the spirited, hard-rocking, percussion side of BJH, without detracting from their dreamy intricate guitar work and vocal harmonies. They open with "Poor Man's Moody Blues"-a clever song. On the one hand, it sounds remarkably like the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin," yet it sounds much different. I can't figure out how they achieved that! And if you like the Moody Blues, you'll love "Kiev." Like "Kiev," some of the songs have the BJH trademark lyrics of social justice and history, while others have generic "any band" lyrics. But there's not a bad song on the album.
