简介: The-Dream told Billboard magazine that he would release his third album Love King, in December 2009; however, in September 2009, Christopher Stewart told Rap-Up that the album will be released in 2010 instead. According to The-Dream, he collaborated with T-Pain for at least one track and also expressed that he would like to make a collaboration album with Kanye West in the future. In January 2010, The-Dream officially stated he was finished recording the album and he called it the best of his three albums. The first single, “Love King”, was released on March 16, 2010 for digital download. The-Dream said that he will release four singles and four music videos prior to the album's release. The album is set to be released on June 29, 2010. In July 2009, The-Dream announced that Love King will be his last solo album; however, he will still be producing, writing, and featuring on other artist albums. Despite stating that Love King would be his last album, The-Dream suggested Love/Affair as the title for his possible fourth studio album. Until the Dream changes his mind, Love King is the end of the line for him, as far as solo releases go. Originally slated to be a collaboration with Kanye West, if Love King really is the Dream's last album it is the culmination of a kind of “Love” trilogy, following Love/Hate and Love vs. Money. Guess we know where The Dream's thematic obsession lies, possibly along with the desire to establish himself as some kind of summit as far as his particular brand of R&B-tronica is concerned. The only possible worry is that after writing a ton of material for Mariah Carey, Christina Milian, Brandy, and Diddy, of all people, will The Dream have enough brilliance left in his pen/keyboard to make an album that's worth living up to the excellent releases he's already put out? The only thing to do is to hope that The Dream wouldn't let himself go out (or rather, wake up) like that.
