Paul Hillier leads the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir in a program tracing the Balto- Finnic folksong tradition through the works of Jean Sibelius, Cyrillus Kreek, Erik Bergman and Veljo Tormis. Hillier s previous forays into this repertoire (his three-volume Baltic Voices series) have been met with the highest critical acclaim. Hillier was also recently awarded a GRAMMY® for his recording of David Lang s Little Match Girl Passion.
