Considered Cantopop's most influential band, Beyond is often referred to as HongKong's Beatles.　　　　 　　• In 1989, Beyond became the first HongKong band to perform in Beijing, at the Capital Indoor Stadium.　　 　　• Their 1990 album, Party of Fate, went triple-Platinum and featured the hit single "Glorious Years" which addressed South African apartheid and the struggle of Nelson Mandela. 　　• The band provided Cantonese voiceovers for the shelled superheroes in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I: The Secret of the Ooze. 　　• Their signature song, "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies," is considered the unofficial anthem of the Hong Kong people.
