Hot Cakes is the upcoming, third studio album to be release by British rock band The Darkness. It is set for release on August 20, 2012 in the United Kingdom and on August 21, 2012 in North America. The album is set to be released on the record label Wind-Up. It was produced by band members Justin and Dan Hawkins, and Nick Brine. It was mixed by Bob Ezrin. Since reforming in early 2011, it is the band's first album since 2005's One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back and the first to feature the original line-up since their debut album, Permission to Land.
