Excellent 2008 two CD set that traces the Soul/R&B trio's entire career from their early '60s recordings right through to their last hits in the early and mid '70s. The Supremes were Motown's most successful outfit as well as the most successful female act of the turbulent '60s. Led by the distinctive vocals of Diana Ross, they were a hit-making machine through the second half of the decade before Ross departed for a solo career. Replacing Ross was difficult and the girls soldiered on for a half-dozen years before calling it quits.
