"I don't remember who you are, but I remember I love you." "Hakka-style" singer-songwriter Joyin Wang, x Trendsetting Producer Shan Lin, who is leading the new wave of Hakka music. Following the strong return of the dynamic Korean duet “Telepathy," a groundbreaking piece that offers a deeper exploration of family relationships, “Get Lost,” serves as the prelude to the brand-new Hakka album of 2024. Starting from the perspective of her grandmother who has suffered from the long-term afflictions of Alzheimer's disease and stroke, illustrating her grandmother's world where memories continuously drift astray due to illness. Joyin boldly undertakes the challenge of employing synchronous recording this time, Collaborating with “Resonance”, a vocal band ensemble acclaimed with 15 awards and known for their adept fusion of cultural elements, to craft the inner world of her grandmother. Through the natural acoustics and layered tribal chants, we aim to portray the perseverance and longing my grandmother holds onto, “Refusing to Forget”. With skillful musical arrangements, we present the fragmented memories of her life. Watching my grandmother struggle to grasp onto that final memory, which really shook my heart.
