Saxon's self-titled debut album already hints at their future songwriting potential, but the dismal production makes a mess of early live favorites like &Still Fit to Boogie& and &Judgement Day,& which sound muffled and uninspired. Only &Stallions of the Highway& (the first of many biker anthems) shows any promise of things to come.
