This 2-CD ste is really good.Especially, performance of "Ivan the Terrible" by Riccardo Muti and his PO is amazing.And narration of Boris Morgunov (still he recorded in three or more times with different performers!), solists and Ambrosian Chorus are very good. Ithink, this film music is one of the most beatiful musics by Prokofiev.Virtuosity of Philharmonia (London) Orchestra is very good.Andre Previn's "Alexander Nevsky" performance is very impressive (especially 5th movement: The Battle on the Ice"). He recorded once again with Los Angeles PO (released on Telarc), but this is more good (and cheap!) than LaPO recording.nd "The Bells" of Rachmaninov is also great. This choral symphony is based on poems by Edgar Allan Poe.This recording is very highly recommended.
