Because of his erratic recording career, buying a Chet Baker vocal title (especially from late in his career) can be a hit-or-miss affair. On this three-CD box set, the guesswork has been removed. These recordings, from the trumpeter's fruitful tenure at the Pacific Jazz label, are all of high quality. Included in the box are the widely available My Funny Valentine and Songs for Lovers albums as well as a disc full of Chet crooning away accompanied by acoustic guitar and bass.
