Former couple Peny Rosendahl and John Wallett had children together and left the previous music groups Swan Lee and Miao, respectively, and founded Storm in 2006. In December 2006, they signed a contract with Universal Music in Denmark. 　　The band's first official appearance was on January 11, 2008, when they performed live at P3 Guld as the final performance. The band released their first single "Drops in the Ocean". Together with Rosendahl, their first studio album called "Storm Meets the Ground" was released on February 11, 2008. The album was produced by the famous producer Roy Thomas Baker, who has 　　collaborated with Queen, The Cars and the Danish band Gasolin. '. Richard Fortus 'album was not popular among Danish critics and was later accused of using other artists' works. However, 　　the album achieved commercial success, selling 25,000 copies and the band won the gold record.
