Christian Felner, better known by his stage name, Felly, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer originally from Trumbull, Connecticut. He is signed to Same Plate/Sony Music Entertainment. Felly currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Felly embarked on a musical career as a teenager, and gained fame posting videos of his original music on his YouTube channel titled Felnuts. Now on Spotify, Felly has 27 songs with 1 million or more streams, with 100 million total streams. He attended Fairfield College Preparatory School, and graduated from the University of Southern California. Felly was interviewed by Sway Calloway and free styled on his radio show "Sway in the Morning" on Sirius XM Shade 45.   Early life   Christian Felner was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and was the youngest of three children, with a brother, Matt, and a sister, Jamie. At the age of seven, his father passed away from brain cancer. His mother remarried soon after.   Christian grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut where he attended Fairfield Preparatory School. He began producing music in middle school, and went on to win a song contest amongst his friends. The grand prize was a Nintendo, which he sold, using the profits to buy recording equipment. In 2013, he enrolled in the USC Thornton School of Music.   At USC, Felner met friends who would later form their music conglomerate, 2273 Records, his independent music label. Gyyps, his roommate at school, is featured on most of his recent projects, and began his own career while rapping with Felly.   Musical career   Felly embarked on a musical career as a teenager, and gained fame posting videos of his original music on his YouTube channel titled Felnuts. On his YouTube channel he also has a mini vlog series called "Felcams". As of date he has 32 of these videos. He released his first full album on Sound Cloud in early 2014. One song that brought much publicity to his YouTube channel was called Desert Eagle which featured Gyyps, gaining him 2.2 million views.   In 2014, Felly released his project Waking Up to Sirens which featured his first track which began to see recognition in the music community, "Fabrics." This album began to gain traction, and Felly opened for fellow artist, Madlib in the spring of 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts.   In 2015, during his sophomore year of college, Felner released the project Milk & Sugar, featuring Gyyps and Ari Lennox. This project included the song "Probation" which gained Felly more attention and continued to grow the rapper's popularity. Later that summer, he would release This Shit Comes in Wave, featuring Gyyps and Tut.   During the spring of 2016, Felner began his first nation-wide tour, the 7th King Tour, which included stops in New York City, New Haven, Connecticut, Chicago, Illinois, and Austin, Texas. Building off this tour, he released his EP, the Young Fel EP, which was distributed through Sony Music. On top of played four, sold-out EP release shows in Connecticut, Philadelphia, and Austin, Texas. Two months later, he announced the Mermaid Gang Tour, a 30+ city nationwide tour featuring Gyyps, Tut, & Healy. Felly played alongside his band, the Mermaid Gang. Later in April 2017, Felly opened for PnB Rock in Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota.   After graduating USC with honors in May, 2017, Felly moved to New York City. His debut album, Wild Strawberries was originally released with Cinematic Music Group on August 18, 2017, but was soon after re-released through his own independent label, 2273RECORDS. This project featured Jamaican dancehall star, Konshens, Gyyps, Trip Carter, and included production from Dre Moon and Dot Da Genius. Following the album's release, he was the opening act for T-Pain on his Acoustic Tour in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He later announced his headlining tour, Strawberry Season, playing 20+ cities in the US.   Felly grew up listening to all genres of music and draws much of his inspiration from reggae superstar, Bob Marley. Some of Felly's greatest musical inspirations are Bob Marley, Anderson Paak, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Nas, Jay-Z, and King Krule.
