Trilucid is a collaboration between two incrediblypassionate and unbelievably talented individuals, Andy MacDougall and Hilton Caswell. Andy has graced legendary labels including Bonzai, Monster and Green Martian under various guises, (including Andy Tau and Citizen 42) with a plethora of production and writing credits to his name, Hilton Caswell is an in demand DJ and a perfectionist producer with releases on Global Underground, Zulu Records and SIPREC and with sound productiontutelage from his mentor, Mike Koglin, Hilton brings a wealth of experience to this duo. Formerly one of Andy MacDougall’s solo projects, Trilucid became a joint venture in 2013, following four years of the duo sharing studio space together. A shared love of soaring riffs and driving grooves established common musical ground, with Pryda, Markus Schultz and Mat Zo namechecked as their key contemporary influences. 　　 　　Together they create trance that takes you back to the golden age of the genre - choosing potent melody and all-encompassing emotion in each individual track released. Taking some of the groove and tension of progressive house, their tracks strike the perfect balance between considered cool and spine-tingling intensity, appealing to fans far and wide. It’s an equal partnership creatively, Hilton with the Logic know how and Andy as the master of Cubase.” With Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery and Marcus Schultz all showing their support for Trilucid records on multiple occasions, it’s no wonder that these two are in high demand. Two releases on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Imprint, have been followed by tracks on Saturate, In Sessions and Flux. With a full album, PATHOS/ETHOS, due on Infrasonic, they are set to make their biggest mark on the scene yet.
