出生于以色列的Hayla是一个多才多艺的艺术家。她是一名歌手,词曲作者,敲击乐手,演员,时装设计师和舞者。 INSPIRATION Hayla gets her inspiration from an array of music including; world, dance, house, trance, electronica, hip-hop, soul, classical, R&B and dub step. More specifically, artists like George Michael, Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Phil Collins, Santana, Guns & Roses, and DJ Tiesto. ROOTS Creativity runs through Hayla’s veins. She is the product of a singer/songwriter/comic mother and singer/songwriter/drummer father. Her grandfather ran a music school and was a popular television personality. Hayla’s ethnic background is as unique as her art. She is of Spanish, Yemeni, Greek and Egyptian. THE EARLY YEARS Hayla grew up as an only child in Tel Aviv. At 6 months of age Hayla and her parents emigrated from Israel to New York. While in New York, her parents performed together. Her mother sang and did stand-up comedy while her father played the drums. Three years later her parents split. Hayla and her mother moved back to Israel while her father stayed in New York, though he did eventually return. Hayla spent over a decade living on a different continent without her father. Being an only child, Hayla always dreamed about having a big family. When Hayla’s father remarried he had two beautiful girls and one handsome boy making Hayla’s dream come true. THE ROAD BACK TO AMERICA From a young age, Hayla used her imagination to entertain herself. Even as a child, she sought refuge in the arts. Hayla started singing when she was only three years old. Later, she began to design her own jewelry and clothing. From there, she began to style herself. At thirteen, Hayla discovered the doumbeck (a Middle Eastern Drum). This would become her primary instrument. Three years later, she wrote her first song. Her inspiration for song writing came from her parents and her unique life experiences. By the age of twenty, Hayla began her professional singing career and attended a music academy and an acting school in Israel. During this period, she performed a number of Broadway style shows and worked as the lead singer for The Jewish Symphony. Hayla’s accomplishments include signing to an indie label, a number one single in Israel, appearances on television and at major live events around the globe and performances at many Israeli Gay pride festivals. Hayla’s support and appreciation of the Gay community stems from her families close experiences. AMERICA AND BEYOND With all her prior accomplishments, Hayla quickly found work upon her arrival to the United States. Her first gig was with the esteemed film composer James Horner. That led to more soundtrack work for films such as "Road to Victory". In addition to her soundtrack work, Hayla toured with an Arabic ensemble for 3 years and performed at countless charity events, including a private event for comedian Wanda Sykes. Hayla’s debut album Fusion is an arcade of styles naturally combined together to create a new hybrid. It is a whimsical ride from start to finish. ACCORDING TO HAYLA “While I served in the Israeli army, I wanted to be a performer, but I was not allowed. I tried very hard to do what I loved, but was suppressed. Well, while I was participating in an exercise that took place in the computer room, I was given a message. The message said that an event was happening close by and that I could perform. I was so excited by the news that I jumped at the opportunity. Meanwhile, my group and commanding officer were still in the computer room where we were working. Turns out, I accidentally locked everyone in the computer room, including the commanding officer. It was summer and there wasn’t any air conditioning because we were in army conditions. That means that when you lock the door… all the electricity automatically shuts down. Needless to say, the group suffered from heat exhaustion. I was arrested by the military police and was jailed for 2 weeks!" "It was a big concert. The dressing room was really a tent held together with one rope. The entire cast was getting ready, so it was pretty crowded. Well, I accidentally kicked the one rope and brought the tent down. I managed to expose the entire naked cast as well as myself. I was standing there naked. I don’t know what came over me, but I started to sing to the crowd. The entire audience began to laugh hysterically. After all, the show must go on.” THE GEOGRAPHY OF FUSION The Album starts off with the song 3D. This song a Dub Step, Hip Hop, and Pop hybrid that is infused with Hayla’s signature style of staccato rhythmic rap flow. The flow is enigmatic and captivating. The late Tal Herzberg produced Belly Dancer. This song features a rap performance by the legendary HITTMAN (of Dr. Dre’s 2001). Angels, Survival and Send me an angel pick up the pace take listeners on journey through the electronic dance realm. From there, Hayla shifts gears to Bang On My Drums. This is followed by the raw, edgy grind-inducing tracks Diggin It, Gotta Make a Grand, and D.U.I.. The party song I like it is a fun combination of reggae, dance hall and pop flavors. The world soundtrack Fly is a tune about bringing pieces of the Middle East together.
