西班牙配乐者Javier Navarrete，半路出家的音乐背景，却以写作音乐会作品开始受到导演邀约，让人对他的音乐品味更为好奇，他曾在访问中自述，美国极微主义音乐家对他的影响很深，而他也偏好欧陆电子乐，如Brain Eno的作品。《潘神的迷宫》是他第二度与导演Guillermo Del Toro合作，两者前一次合作则是「恶魔的脊骨（El Espinazo del diablo）」，Javier的电影音乐多半为西班牙本土导演所作，也因此Javier的名声，没法像他的西班牙同乡Alberto Iglesias一样被全世界所听到。　　 　　Javier Navarrete (born 1956) is a Spanish composer of film scores.His most famous score, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, was for Pan's Labyrinth (his second collaboration with Guillermo del Toro, the first being The Devil's Backbone). 　　Navarrete was born in Teruel. His scores include Whore, Tras el cristal, Dot the i, and other Spanish films. In addition, he scored 2009's Cracks (directed by Jordan Scott), 2012's Byzantium (directed by Neil Jordan) and the U.S. productions, Mirrors, Wrath of the Titans and Inkheart. His score for the HBO film Hemingway & Gellhorn won him an Emmy Award.He also produced the soundtrack for the Hong Kong-based film Zhong Kui: Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal.
