I am sitting home alone

In sorrow and misery

Wishing that my maria

Was here to comfort me

Forgetting like the raven

She said never never more more

Then suddenly

There came a knock upon my door

And the voice said

I got message from maria

I open

Once again I can see her

I hope she's asking me to free her

Listen to me good now

Maria wrote and said

My love for you still lingers on

But by the time you read this letter

Honey I may be gone

I saw the teardrop

Stain on the page while maria cried

Still though someone wrote

She called your name just before she died

I cried because I'm in a sad mood
