Vanity - Don Cherry

They call it vanity because I havd rather be

All by myself instead of laughing with the crowd

If I do not care to be part of their gaiety

They often say to me Do not be so proud

But how are they to know

I am looking high and low

For love that used to be my own

I never even glance

When I am offered new romance

I can not because I am yours alone

It may be vanity to think you will come to me
