While these are by no means the best representations of each artist's career, they are superb single disc collections perfectly suited for romantic afterglow situations. Included are such iconic cuts as trumpeter Chet Baker's "Touch of Your Lips," and "Everything Happens to Me," as well as tenor saxophonist Stan Getz's classic bossa nova track "Corcovado" and his equally atmospheric take on Burt Bacharach's "The Look of Love." Although tenor saxophone legend John Coltrane is better known as an adventurous and fiery artist, he was also a gorgeous balladeer as demonstrated here on tracks like "My One and Only Love" and "Soul Eyes." If you are in the mood for some stylish, urbane, and classic romantic jazz you can't go wrong with For Lovers.
