Born out of his love of hip hop, each Armand Van Helden track carries his signature rugged, with a rough around the edge finish. It underpins the album, especially in tracks like "Alienz" and "Mother Earth". But there's a lighter side too, reflected by his choice of vocalists. Long-time friend Duane Harden carries "U Don't Know Me' and the visionary "Flowerz" is fronted by Roland Clark from Garage legends Urban Soul.
